Planning

Sky City's plan and layout will change and new ideas will come in every once in awhile, but generally stay the same. Below is info on the plans and layout of the city and future cities. (Sorry, but our directions are not what it would say in Minecraft or the map. our north is actually east.)

Sky City

Boundaries

Sky City itself will consist of the Central Centre City, Northern Centre, Southern Centre, Eastern Centre, and Western Centre.

The Central Centre will be completely skyscrapers. The boundaries are from the  northern side of the airport where the road comes out into the skyscrapers, to the river line on the other side, and from the edge of the Business Bay, on the east to the 100 Meter District on the west.

Northern Centre City will be the only civilization on the northern side of the airport for quite a while. It starts at the north of the airport and ends just before the Carlos City to Marina Bay and Sky City Northern interchange. It basically follows M1 down to the interchange, with only a few streets going off the motorway.

Western Centre City will be a smaller version of Central Centre, but on the west. The boundaries are from the western end of the 100 Meter District, to the end of the Grouped Centre City, and from the river to the airport boundary.

Eastern Centre City is much the same as Western Centre, but on the east of course, and from the east boundary of the Business Bay to the eastern end of the Grouped Centre City.

Southern Centre City will be MUCH bigger than the other centres'  contents but it will have not very many skyscrapers. It will be the only area to hold shops, museums, hospitals and other infrastructure items. on the northern parts of it, will be mostly houses, (A LOT OF THEM!!!) and the odd school or kindergarten.

Areas

There are a few areas or districts within the Grouped Centre City, with different types of buildings and different heights. In the Central Centre City, there is the Business Bay on the far east, on the near east is the 4-Star District in the very Centre of the Central Centre is the Downtown, and in the near west is the 100 Meter District. the Business Bay has only business buildings and companies. In the 4-Star District, there are mostly hotels and luxury apartments. In the Downtown, there are lots of irregularly squished in buildings and lots of tall and small buildings. The Downtown is also the most centered part of the city, with the Centaurus, Islamabad (soon to be replaced by a better building) in the very middle of the city. In the 100 Meter District is buildings only above 100 M(330 F). This just happens to be a small area but it is amazing to walk through. In the Western Centre City, there is the Water Side High-rise District which is close to the river, and the Western Airport Low-rise Array which is a small group of buildings below 80 meters. The reason the buildings are so low is because the might just happen to be a emergency takeoff (or landing) on the other side of the runway. In the Eastern Centre, there is the Eastern Business Bay which is closer to the river, and the 5-Star Line which is a long line of tall hotels on the edge of the airport. It is intended for people who enjoy the sight of planes taking off and landing. In the Southern Centre, there will be lots of suburbs that we haven't thought of the name for, and the Marina which is a large area by the river with most of the infrastructure of the city. The Grouped Centre City is usually when your talking about all of the centres together (excluding the suburbs of Southern Centre, mostly just the skyscrapers). Please not that we are no where near finishing this city, but we are making good progress so keep updating!!

Suburbs

There will be multiple suburbs throughout the hill ranges and areas in the city. Most of the richer suburbs will be in the hills, and around the beach. The more plain suburbs will be in the flatter and more city like areas like Southern Centre City which will be a good place for new housing buyers and people with less money than the average resident in Dubai, lets just say. Another good place for housing is in Carlos City, where the housing is much cheaper and it's only a twenty minute drive to Sky City where there is a lot of work available.

Carlos City

Areas

Carlos City is a large city located about 20 thousand blocks south (around a 20 minute drive from Sky City) of Sky City. It will have a small CBD with tall buildings. (sort of like Denver), though it will have thousands of large houses and apartments where costs are cheaper. In the morning, lots of people will drive over to Sky City to work, where there is lots of work slots available.
